Sewciety Kids is our comprehensive sewing program for kids ages 7 to 12. It is a skill-building program that progresses in difficulty as students advance. Students are exposed to everything the world of sewing has to offer, including quilting, garment sewing, applique, embroidery, bag-making, and more!
The program consists of 4 levels:
Level 1: Beginners
Level 2: Advanced Beginners
Level 3: Intermediate 1
Level 4: Intermediate 2
Each level is a school-year long curriculum, broken up into 6-week sessions.
Students can enter and exit the program at any time!
In each 6-week session, students typically complete one craft sewing project and one wearable project. No project is repeated throughout the course of the curriculum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If my child has no sewing experience, how can I get him/her started?
A: First, register for a Beginner Workshop. This is a 2-hour class that typically is held on Saturday mornings. If your child is 9 and up, they can register for the Tween Beginner Workshop. If they are 7, or 8 they must attend a Parent/Child class with a parent. Once they've taken the Beginner Workshop they can register for any after-school course, Saturday course, or camp.
Q: My child has some sewing machine experience. Does he/she still need the beginner workshop?
A: If your child already knows how to wind a bobbin and thread the machine, then no. Otherwise they should take the beginner workshop.
Q: My child will miss one of the classes in his/her course. Can I schedule a make-up?
A: Students are allowed one make-up per 6-week session, only if they are unable to complete their projects in the remaining classes. Many times students are able to catch up without a make-up; if not, call or email us to schedule.
Q: I signed up for a class but cannot attend due to an unexpected conflict. Can I get a refund?
A: If you cannot attend the class you are registered for, we are happy to offer you a credit for another class. Refunds are provided for classes ONLY if the class is full and there is a waiting list, AND your spot is filled by someone on the waiting list.
