knitting series 301: colorwork winter hat
Get set for the winter weather and come join us to knit up The Pine Tree Hat by Yankee knitter... this fun colorwork beanie hat knits up quickly and looks great on everyone, plus it’s a great stash busting project.
Students should have experience with knitting in the round and able to do rib stitch. This is a perfect class for those looking to learn colorwork.
Pattern is available in sizes baby through large adult.
There will be pre-work required for the first class which will be sent to you in advance of the first class.
Required materials:
- Solid worsted weight yarn, we recommend Cascade 220 or Berroco Vintage - yardage required depends on the size you are knitting up.
Main color 75-150yds, rib color 35-50ys, trees 20-35 yds and snowflakes 15-22 yds.

- Chibi needle
- US 5 and US 7 16" circular needle, available here
- US 7 DPNs

If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
