bag series 201: all the things tote
The All the Things Tote bag by Knot + Thread is the perfect tote bag for the fall! This quilted, simple design tote is perfect to carry anything and everything on your next road trip up to the mountains, grocery store outing and more! During class, students will learn how to make this quilted tote bag that carries "ALL the things", which is how this bag got its name! It features a large opening with two end panel pockets that are perfect for storing your phone, wallet or keys. Use decorative webbing to enhance the bag's beauty or make your own handles with your favorite fabrics - the possibilities are endless!
This class is suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate sewists. Students should be confident in using a sewing machine independently and should have prior bag making experience.
The pattern is available in three sizes, although we guarantee you will want to make all three!
- small: 11" H x 14" W x 8" D
- medium: 11" H x 16" W x 8" D
- large: 11" H x 18" W x 8" D
Students must arrive to class will all fabric cut. We are offering a cutting session on Friday, October 6th from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Students can use this time to prepare their fabrics for class. If you are unable to attend the cutting session, you will be required to cut your fabrics on your own.
Required Materials:
- All the Things Tote by Knot + Thread pattern
- main fabric: quilting cotton, 1 yd for all sizes
- lining fabric: quilting cotton, 1 yd for all sizes
- accent fabric for binding + handles: quilting cotton, 5/8 yd for all sizes
- by annie's soft + stable: 1 yd for all sizes
- 1 3/4 yd of 1 1/2" handle webbing
- base stabilizer: not used in small size, however medium + large requires: 7 4/5" x 14 5/4"
- (1) spool of thread
We have a wide selection of quilting cotton available to purchase in the shop or on our website. Our staff is more than happy to help with your fabric requirements and selections!

- rotary cutter
- cutting mat
- acrylic ruler
- point turner
- pins and/or clips
- chalk or frixion pen
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for this class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
