knitting series 401 : plein air pullover
Join us in February for the second project of our color work series using Berroco Lanus light yarn.
With a palette of 28 beautiful shades, the 100% wool sport weight Lanas Light yarn feels like opening up a new box of crayons.
During this session we will be knitting the Plein Air Pullover, a top-down, in the round yoke pullover. This will be a five-part class that will take you through the process, step by step enabling you to create this beautiful delicate colorwork sweater.
The pattern is written for sizes 32"- 72". The pattern offers 6 different designs to choose from and with 28 different colors in the Lanus yarn collection your design & color choice is endless!
A planning session will be held on Monday February 6th at 6.30pm to give you a chance to review all the colors in the collection, plan your colorwork pattern on the blank charts included in the pattern book and create your own original designs. During this session you will also be able to place your order for the yarn.
This class is suitable for our intermediate/advanced knitters. You must have experience in colorwork and it is preferred that you have completed the sketchbook hat in this same series but not essential.
Required Materials:
- Berroco Lanus Light Yarn pattern book #435, available here
- Yarn - Berroco Lanus light, yardage will be dependent on the version you are knitting up. Orders will be taken at the planning session.
Required tools:
These are the needle sizes recommended in the pattern, you may require different sizes dependent on your gauge. We will discuss this in the planning session.
- US 3 and 4 16" circular needle, available here
- US 3 and 4 32" circular needle, available here
- (1) set of double pointed needles, sizes 3 and 4, not necessary if using magic loop

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email and there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
