knitting series: cable knit pillow
We are hitting the summer season and with warmer weather around the corner, dedicated knitters are still gonna knit.....so what better than a beautiful cable pillow to show off in your home?
In this series of 3 classes students will learn the classic cable stitch while making this gorgeous chunky pillow. In this class you will learn to create cable stitches and read a knitting chart. We will also cover how to pick up a dropped stitch.
Required Materials:
(4) skeins of sugarbush chill (we used grey river available here)
- size 13 needles on 36" cable
- a cable needle
- stitch markers
- a tapestry needle
- a crochet hook (for fixing mistakes)
- a 14" pillow form
Students who attend this class will need to have completed our skill builder class OR are comfortable with how to knit, purl and cast on. So come and join us for some knitting fun!!
