garments series: simone shorts or pants
Make your new favorite garment, the Simone Shorts + Pants from Jalie Patterns.
This pattern flatters any body type and features front pleats, slant front pockets, and a ribbon belt. The shorts are mid-length and breezy, while the pants have a roomy leg that can be worn full-length or cropped. The waistband has an elasticized back to maximize comfort. Choose a light rayon fabric with good drape and you'll want to live in these pants!
Pattern includes 28 sizes ranging from toddler size 2 to adult size 24.
Students must come to class with their fabric pieces already cut out. If you need assistance determining your size before you cut, please feel free to come by the shop and we can help you out.
Material requirements:
- Simone Pattern by Jalie
- Woven fabric with a soft hand and nice drape, such as linen or linen blends, rayon, chambray, crepe de chine or tencel (yardage determined by your size). We made our sample from the beautiful palm paradise rayon available here.
- Coordinating polyester thread
Required tools:
- Fabric scissors
- Pins and/or wonder clips
