sip and stitch: acacia underwear

Grab a bottle of wine, some friends, and come and join us for a fun Friday night, socially distant, yet sociable, to make yourself some new panties!!

The acacia underwear pattern is a low rise bikini cut underwear featuring a gusset with fully enclosed seams, comfortable fit with ample coverage. Buy new fabric or use this as a great scrap buster project. Available in two pattern sizes 0-20 and curve sizes 14-30 this pattern is suitable for everybody.

Required Materials:

- The acacia underwear pattern by Megan Nielsen patterns available online here. (Note if you subscribe to her newsletter the pattern is free!!)
- Knit fabric with at least 20% stretch (yardage depends on size and quantity of underwear you are making - refer to the pattern)
- Lingerie elastic, fold over elastic or 1/4" elastic (yardage depends on size and quantity of underwear you are making - refer to the pattern)
- (1) spool of coordinating thread

Required Tools:
- Tape Measure 
- Rotary Cutter and Acrylic Ruler OR Fabric scissors
- Pins and/or wonder clips (pins are recommended for garment projects)
- seam ripper
- chalk or frixion pen
- seam gauge

We have modified our classes to comply with the CDC guidelines and NJ Executive Order 152. Classes will be limited in numbers of students, their stations will be at least 6 feet away from each other and whilst they are able to maintain social distancing students are not required to wear a mask, however where social distancing cannot be maintained (e.g. moving around the classroom) masks will be required, so please ensure you bring one. The instructor will be wearing one. In addition, students are required to supply their own tools as identified in the tools list above.

Students must arrive to class on time, with all materials purchased. As with all garment classes we strongly recommend you wash and dry your fabric in advance of the class. 

Registered students receive a 15% discount on all materials.
