festive freebie: basket bunch

This holiday season, as our gift to you – our amazing, loyal customers – we’re doing a series of fun, FREE classes.  These classes will help you get in the holiday spirit and create some amazing handmade gifts + decor!!!

Learn how to make a simple storage basket for your home or office in this freebie class! These baskets are simply constructed from just two squares of fabric and some clever folding and stitching.  The pattern includes instructions to make three different sizes, but once you know how to construct them you can make them in any size you like!  In this class, we'll be making the large basket, however more experienced sewists may be able to make more than one during the class.

Finished Dimension of Large Basket: 8" x 8" x 5" tall

Students must have taken our Sewing 101 class or have an equivalent beginner sewing experience level in order to register for this class.

Important Note: Please arrive to class on time and prepared with the required materials and tools needed for class - all which can be purchased directly in our shop. If you plan to shop for materials the day of class, please plan to arrive to the shop at least 15-20 minutes in advance to ensure you have enough time to purchase your materials. Students arriving late to class will not be permitted into the classroom.

Required Materials: 
- (1) Project Kit: Basket Bunch - pattern, stabilizer, thread and coordinating fabric included - enough to make all three baskets!

Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a Project Kit and only want to purchase the materials to make the large basket, you will need:
- (1) Pattern: Basket Bunch by Studio M Squared 
- 5/8 yd of quilting cotton for exterior fabric
- 5/8 yd of quilting cotton for lining/accent fabric
- 5/8 yd of Pellon Decor Bond Stabilizer
- (1) spool of coordinating thread

Required Tools:
- fabric scissors
- pins
