quilting series: floral lattice quilt
Introducing your new favorite quilt - the Floral Lattice by Jennifer Church. Join our quilting instructor Pat in the studio for a 3-week demo style class starting this October!
Floral Lattice features (1) quilt block that is repeated throughout the entire design. During this 3-week class, students will start off with a cutting session in the first class, leaving the remaining two classes for piecing and assembly of the block. We will not be making a finished quilt in this class, however once you learn how to make the block you are free to make whatever you'd like with it - either a wall hanging, pillow, quilt, etc. Students are welcomed to make any size and view of this quilt - please refer to the pattern for full fabric requirements. Our "Required Materials" listed below are to make (1) block.
This versatile, skill building pattern is perfect for intermediate level quilters.
Quilt Sizes + Versions:
The pattern offers instructions to make (6) different sizes - (3) square quilt sizes and (3) rectangle quilt sizes:
- Square Quilt Sizes: Baby: 40"x40; Throw: 60"x60"; Bed: 80"x80"
- Rectangle Quilt Sizes: Baby: 40"x53"; Throw: 54" x 72"; Bed: 68"x90"
The pattern offers instructions to make (2) versions - either a Solids version or a Scrappy version
- Solids: consists of 9 blocks that are all made exactly the same, plus a pieced sashing
- Scrappy: consists of 12 blocks that are two different colors (or prints) and the same background in all the blocks, plus a pieced sashing
Required Materials - to make (1) quilt block:
- (1) PDF Pattern: Floral Lattice by Jennifer Church/Tickle Me Pink Quilts
- (2) coordinating fat quarters
- 1/2 yd of background fabric
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
Fabric Note: Please refer to the pattern for accurate fabric requirements to make a completed quilt.

Required Tools:
- rotary cutter + acrylic ruler or fabric scissors
- Wing Clipper Tool
- seam ripper
- pins and/or wonder clips
- chalk or frixion pen

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email and there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
