NOTE: Before entering our After School Program, students MUST take our Beginner Workshop. 

Do not register for the After-School Program unless your child has taken the Beginner Workshop or is registered to take it before the After-School Session begins. Students aged 7 & 8 must attend the Beginner Workshop with an adult; Ages 9+ may attend the Beginner Workshop by themselves.  See our Beginner Workshop schedule here.

Sewciety Kids & Teens Sewing Program - Six-Week Session

Join our six-week sewing classes, designed for students of all skill levels (Levels 1 through 4), including brand-new sewers starting at age 7, and teens eager to create fashionable clothing and accessories inspired by current trends.

In the Sewciety Kids & Teens Sewing Program, students progress through a structured curriculum tailored to their experience. Younger students (ages 7+) explore garment making, bag making, patchwork, embroidery, appliqué, and more, completing two projects per session—one decor or accessory item and one garment.

Teens focus on skill-building techniques, such as using and modifying patterns, selecting appropriate fabrics, and mastering sewing basics. Instructors assess each teen’s skill level to assign suitable projects initially, with students gaining input on project choices as they advance. Classes run year-round from September to June, while teen courses emphasize trendy, personalized creations.

All materials for projects are included. All students must bring their own tools weekly; you can purchase a Tool Kit here. 

With a strict 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, students in the same time slot share our large studio but may work with different instructors.  Teens will be grouped together, separately from younger students.

If signing up with friends, notify us in advance, and we’ll try to keep them together, though large groups may be split.

Registration is complete only after we have received the emailed registration packet. For continuous enrollment, Auto-Pay is recommended to secure preferred time slots—details are in the packet. Siblings registering together receive a 5% discount; please call the store to arrange.

• You may receive a refund ONLY if we are notified in writing (via email – sewcietykids@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, AND there is a waitlist for the class AND we are able to fill your child’s spot.   Absolutely no refunds will be provided unless these conditions are met. 
• If we are notified in writing (via email – sewcietykids@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, and we are unable to fill your spot, you will receive a store credit for the full registration amount.  This credit will expire 9 months from the date of issuance and is only good for class registrations, not retail product.
• If we are notified less than one week prior to the start date of the course/class, absolutely no refund or credit will be issued.
