garment series: victory tank

One of the best feelings in the sewing world is being able to successfully create and make your own clothes. There's a sense of pride, accomplishment, and inspiration that comes when you develop your sewing skills and replace the need of having to buy from big brand retailers. Come feel "victorious" and join us to make the Victory Tank by Chalk & Notch Patterns this August with our garment instructor, Adria!
The Victory Tank is a swing shaped top with two views. View A has a simple scoop front neckline and finishes mid-hip. View B has V-shaped straps on the front neckline and a V-shaped cut out in the back with a cropped length. Both views are fully lined and interchangeable, giving it that professional-looking result. Keep it casual by pairing this top with your favorite Summer shorts, or dress it up by matching it with your favorite flowy skirt. Students are welcomed to make either view in class.
We'll start off class on Friday, August 1st with a cutting session to prepare your fabric, leaving Saturday, August 2nd for garment construction. During this class, students will practice sewing darts and inserting fabric straps. This intermediate class is suitable for graduates of our Garment 101 class or those who have an equivalent experience level. Students should have basic garment construction knowledge AND experience and must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
