bag series: clam up! zipper pouch

Join Lauren in the studio this May to learn how to make these cute and fun "Clam Up" zipper pouches from ByAnnie!  These pouches are great for organizing your makeup, sewing supplies, tech gear, and more.  The Clam Up pattern includes instructions for five different sizes; in class we'll be making the medium-sized pouch only.  The finished bag dimensions are 4-1/2" high by 5-1/2" wide by 4" deep.

This class is suitable for intermediate level students who have prior bag making experience, especially sewing with zippers.  Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Important Note: Students must arrive to class with their fabric pieces already cut out.  There is no time allotted in class to cut the fabric.  If you prefer to cut the fabric under the guidance of an instructor, we encourage you to register for one of our WIP classes (there is no formal instruction in our WIP classes, but an instructor will be on hand to assist with any troubleshooting or questions).

Required Materials (for medium-sized pouch):
- (1) Pattern: Clam Up! Zipper Pouches from ByAnnie
- main fabric (body of bag): (1) fat quarter or 1/2 yd cut
- lining fabric (interior fabric inside bag): (1) fat quarter or 1/2 yd cut
- coordinating fabric (grab tabs, gussets, and binding): (1) fat quarter, or use the remaining main or lining fabric
- (1) zipper: 20" or longer
- (1) 14"x11" piece of Soft & Stable (note, if you plan to make more in other sizes, 1/2 yd is enough to make one pouch in each size)
- (1-2) spools of coordinating thread - we recommend that one color matches your zipper color exactly)

Required Tools:
- fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
- seam ripper
- pins or clips
- chalk or frixion marker

Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.

No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
