special event: ruler work quilting + the Janome A.S.R.
Join us for this special one-day ruler-work event with Janome Educator, Anne Hein! Available workshop dates are Friday, June 13th 10am-2pm or Saturday, June 14th 10am-2pm - choose which session works best for you!
In this workshop, students will learn how to do ruler-work quilting on a professional Janome sewing machine with A.S.R (Accurate Stitch Regulator). You'll first practice ruler-work on a quilt sandwich as you learn to use the ruler sets and ASR. Then, you'll piece a simple placemat and quilt it with various designs to put your new knowledge to work. Students will leave the event with the confidence to experiment more on their unfinished quilt projects at home.
During this event, experience:
- The fun of quilting with the Janome ruler-work sets (for both solitary designs and edge-to-edge designs)
- The precision of the Janome Accurate Stitch Regulator System (ASR)
- The ease of using the Janome ruler foot
- The opportunity to create endless quilted designs using Janome's clever and creative transparent template rulers
Students will work in pairs on a Janome Continental M8 or Memory Craft 9480 sewing machine. Anne will give you a clear understanding of how easy it is to set up Janome machines for ruler work success. Please Note: This class does not cover ruler-work on longarm quilting machines.
Required Materials + Tools:
- All materials are included in the cost of class! Any tools needed to make the project will also be provided for you.

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.

| Instructor Bio: | Anne’s passion for sewing started with the required Home Economics class and grew from there. Joining the Janome team in 2010 was a dream come true. Anne is a Janome girl through and through – her first machine was the Memory Craft 9000! Sharing her creativity through her travels with Janome and teaching are some of her favorite things. Anne says, “My job with Janome has never really been a job! I get to do the two things I love: talking with people and creating!" With her weekly LIVE on the Janome Sewing Machines FB page, she has grown a global audience to share many of her favorite topics. "I can do my job just about anywhere." You may have seen her when she does her LIVE from a dealer’s store or from other locations across the country. Stop by and say hi –she loves meeting her FB family in person! Anne lives in Wilmington, DE with her husband, who are empty nesters at last. Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and creating more projects. |
