spring freebie: basket bunch

Join us for our Spring Freebie Series this April!

In this free class, students will learn how to make some simple storage baskets for your home or office.  These baskets are constructed quite simply from just two squares of fabric and some clever folding and stitching.  The pattern includes instructions to make three different sizes, but once you know how to construct them you can make them in any size you like!  We'll be making the large basket in this class.  More experienced sewists may be able to make more than one during the class.

This class is suitable for beginner level students, especially graduates of our Sewing 101 class.  Please note that all materials must be purchased from our shop to ensure you have the appropriate materials for this project.  Please arrive to class on time with the following materials and tools needed for class - if you plan to shop for materials on the day of class, plan to arrive to the shop at least 20 minutes in advance so you have enough time to gather your materials.  Class starts on time at 6:30pm and late attendees will not be permitted in the classroom.

Required Materials: to make (1) large size basket
- (1) Pattern: Basket Bunch by Studio M Squared 
- exterior fabric: 5/8 yd of quilting cotton
- lining/accent fabric: 5/8 yd of quilting cotton
- 5/8 yd of Pellon Decor Bond Stabilizer
- (1) spool of coordinating thread

Project Kits:
- We have specially curated 'Basket Bunch' Project Kits that include the materials to make (3) matching baskets, although you will only be making the large basket in class.

- fabric scissors
- pins
