spring freebie: kitchen crew apron

Join us for our Spring Freebie Series this April!

Ready to make the perfect, beginner friendly apron for you or a loved one?  All your need is basic sewing machine experience - if you can sew a straight stitch, you can easily make these aprons.  And best of all - they're reversible for twice the fun!  The pattern also comes in children's sizes too, but please note this is an adults only class.

This class is suitable for beginner level students, especially graduates of our Sewing 101 class.  Please note that all materials must be purchased from our shop to ensure you have the appropriate materials for this project.  Please arrive to class on time with the following materials and tools needed for class - if you plan to shop for materials on the day of class, plan to arrive to the shop at least 20 minutes in advance so you have enough time to gather your materials.  Class starts on time at 6:30pm and late attendees will not be permitted in the classroom.

Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Kitchen Crew Apron by Studio M Squared
- 44" wide fabric in (2) coordinating prints - please see fabric yardage information below
- 1/2" wide twill tape - please see twill tape yardage information below
- (1) spool of coordinating sew-all thread

Fabric Requirements (by size):
- Small (up to 22" waist): 2 coordinating prints, 7/8 yd each
- Medium: (23"-28" waist): 2 coordinating prints, 7/8 yd each
- Large (29"-34" waist): 2 coordinating prints, 1 yd each
- X-Large (35" and up): 2 coordinating prints, 1-1/8 yd each

Twill Tape Yardage (by size)
- Small (up to 22" waist): 2 yds of 1/2" wide twill tape
- Medium: (23"-28" waist): 2 yds of 1/2" wide twill tape
- Large (29"-34" waist): 2 yds of 1/2" wide twill tape
- X-Large (35" and up): 2-1/3 yds of 1/2" wide twill tape

Recommended Fabrics:
- We suggest using woven fabrics, such as quilting cotton or linen.

Project Kits:
- We have specially curated 'Kitchen Crew Apron' Project Kits that include the materials to make (1) large sized apron.

Required Tools:
- fabric scissors
- pins and/or clips
- frixion pen
- point turner*
* = optional, but highly recommended!
