trunk show: fabric by william morris

Join us for an informative and inspiring trunk show, with complimentary beverages and snacks, door prizes, and a free gift for all attendees! This presentation will be held in our fabric shop on the ground floor, surrounded by beautiful quilt samples and fabrics.
New Jersey's FreeSpirit Fabrics sales representative Marisa Simon will give a presentation on the fabric of William Morris, including the recent collaboration between Kaffe Fassett and Morris & Co.
This year, FreeSpirit released a glorious selection of William Morris’ most iconic prints recolored by Kaffe with magical results. In her presentation, Marisa will review Morris’ 150 years of influence on the decorative arts as well as Kaffe’s continued influence on color and pattern in the craft industry. Learn why this collaboration between the father of the Arts and Crafts Movement and a modern-day color-genius works so well. You will leave with a deeper understanding of the role both of these men have played in the field of decorative arts as well as how to use their fabrics in your own quilting and sewing creations.
