bag series: project bag 2.0

Who doesn't love a fun project bag that stores all of your sewing essentials!  Join Deb in the studio this January to make the Project Bag 2.0 from By Annie. Choose between an all-day Saturday session or a 2-week Friday afternoon session.

Great for organizing everything you need for all your sewing projects, this handy zippered bag has a sturdy quilted base and vinyl window for easy visibility of all of your contents.  This bag is super versatile - the smaller size is great as a pencil or tool case, while the large sizes are great for storing paperwork, fabric scraps, sewing tools and more. The pattern offers four views, and students are permitted to make any size they'd prefer.  Please note, in class we will only be showing how to make the bags with a contrasting fabric bottom border, as opposed to the patchwork bottom border.

During this 4-hour class, students will practice basic quilting, binding, working with vinyl, sewing with zippers, and will learn how to use a quilt guide bar.  This class is suitable for intermediate students who have prior bag making experience.

**We have specially curated Project Kits for the large size (as pictured).  The Project Kit includes the fabric, fusible interfacing, Soft & Stable stabilizer, pre-cut vinyl, and zipper.

Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Project Bags 2.0 from By Annie
- (1) spool of polyester thread
- fusible interfacing (Pellon 911FF): small size - 1/4 yd; medium, large and jumbo size - 1/3 yd
- Soft & Stable: small size - 12"x8"; medium size - 14"x12"; large size - 15"x15"; jumbo size - 18"x18"
- vinyl - small size - 4-1/2"x10-1/2"; medium size - 5-1/4"x12-1/2"; large size - 7-1/2"x13-1/2"; jumbo size - 9"x16-1/2"
- (1) single-slide zipper: small size - 12" or longer; medium size - 14.5" or longer; large size -15.5" or longer; jumbo size - 18" or longer

Fabric Requirements:  Small Bag (6.5" H x 10.5 W")
- main fabric: (1) fat eighth
- lining fabric: (1) fat eighth
- coordinating fabric (borders, bindings, handle, zipper pull): 1/4 yd of quilting cotton

Fabric Requirements: Medium Bag (10.5" H x 12.5" W)
- main fabric: (1) fat quarter
- lining fabric: (1) fat quarter
- coordinating fabric (borders, bindings, handle, zipper pull): 1/4 yd of quilting cotton
- contrasting fabric (bottom border): (1) fat eighth

Fabric Requirements: Large Bag (13.5" H x 13.5" W)
- main fabric: (1) fat quarter
- lining fabric: (1) fat quarter
- coordinating fabric (borders, bindings, handle, zipper pull): 1/3 yd of quilting cotton
- contrasting fabric (bottom border: (1) fat eighth

If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.

No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
