quilting series: keepsake t-shirt quilt

Come and join us with your sports T-shirts, performance T-shirts, school T-shirts, or memory clothes and make a fabulous "T-shirt quilt" out of them. This series starts before the holidays, just in time to make it for yourself or as a beautiful gift for a loved one.

This will be a five-week series of classes. The first class will consist of planning, designing and cutting your quilt, with the remaining weeks for the construction of the final product. Once you have designed your quilt, we will help you establish what other materials you will need to complete the project.

Students should bring between 16-20 T-shirts to the first class, (if you have more or less, we can help you plan and design around this but it may require additional work outside of the class). 

This class is suitable for beginner sewists who have completed our Sewing 101 class or have equivalent experience. Students should be able to confidently operate a sewing machine independently.

Required Materials: 
- 16-20 T-shirts of your choosing
- 1/2 yd per T-shirt of Pellon SF101
- (2) packs of curved basting pins
- (1) spool of coordinating thread

Students will need to purchase backing fabric and batting - yardage requirements will be calculated at the design stage, so you won't need to purchase these items until after the first class.

- June Tailor T-shirt transformation ruler
- rotary cutter
- acrylic ruler 
- seam ripper
- curved basting pins
- detail scissors
- chalk or frixion pen
- wonder clips

Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
