garment series: heather blazer

Join Erin in our studio this September to make The Heather Blazer by Friday Pattern Co.  This modern blazer is the perfect garment to compliment your outfit - dress it up with your favorite dress pants and top, or keep it casual by layering it over your favorite t-shirt and jeans.  It's the perfect editorial layering piece that will elevate any look you're going for!

The Heather Blazer is unstructured and fully lined.  This comfortable and stylish jacket has a slightly oversized fit that can be worn in all seasons. It features a two-piece sleeve, single button closure, front patch pockets and lapel collar. The pattern accommodates sizes XS-7X and is designed to inspire advanced beginner sewists - graduates of our Garment 101 course encouraged to register for this class!

During this 2-weekend class, students will learn how to construct a two-piece sleeve, sew a set-in sleeve, sew a buttonhole, how to line a jacket, and how to expertly make patch pockets.  This class is suitable for advanced beginner students who have prior garment sewing experience. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

This class will begin with a cutting session on Friday, September 13th from 6:30pm-8:30pm, then garment construction will take place on Saturday, September 14th and 21st from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Reminder: As with all garment classes, we highly recommend that students prewash their fabric before attending class.
