bag series: ferris fanny pack

Fanny packs are back in style!  Join Abbie for a 4-week evening session to make the Ferris Fanny Pack Bag by Sallie Tomato!

The Ferris Fanny Pack bag is a fully lined functional fanny pack that features a zipper pocket, zipper bag closure, and an adjustable webbing strap. The bag can be worn in so many ways - either as a fanny pack, or a crossbody bag. The pattern offers three sizes, however we will be making the large size in class that measures 19" wide and 9" high.

During this session, students will start off with a 2-hour cutting session to get all their fabric cut out to size and ready for construction. Classes 2 and 3 will consist of bag construction, leaving the fourth and final class for construction completion. This 4-week class is suitable for intermediate students that have prior bag making experience and/or experience in sewing with zippers.  Students should be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Required Materials: (for large size)
- (1) Pattern: Ferris Fanny Pack by Sallie Tomato
- exterior fabric: 5/8 yd of quilting cotton, canvas, denim or linen
- lining fabric: 5/8 yd of quilting cotton or linen
- Pellon 987F fusible fleece: 5/8 yd
- (1) 10" zipper
- (1) 14" zipper
- Ferris Hardware Kit: includes (2) 1-1/2" o-rings, (2) swivel hooks, and (1) 1" slide buckle

Required Tools:
- rotary cutter
- acrylic ruler
- fabric scissors
- tape measure
- seam ripper
- pins or clips
- chalk or frixion pen

Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email and there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.

No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
