bag series: oxbow tote

We can't help but love just about every bag pattern Noodlehead releases, and the Oxbow Tote is no exception!!! Join our talented instructor Julie this June to make your own Oxbow. With vacation season just around the corner, this bag will be perfect for traveling.
The Oxbow Tote by Noodlehead is a versatile zippered top tote bag offered in two sizes to sew. Both sizes feature an easy-access front pocket, reinforced base, crossbody strap (we love this part!), and a roomy interior with a slip pocket for safekeeping your items. The regular size is a perfect work bag, roomy enough to store your laptop and notebooks without being too bulky. The overnight size is just that - perfect for an overnight (or weekend) trip. The finished dimensions of the regular size bag are 15" wide, 5" deep, and 12" tall, while the overnight bag measures 18" wide, 7" deep, and 14" tall.
During class, students will learn LOTS of bagmaking skills - like sewing in a zipper, making a reinforced base, and how to work with hardware and webbing. Some bonuses in this class include learning how to use a pocket pattern to make a luggage sleeve on the back and how to make zipper tabs and zipper pulls with leather straps. This class is suitable for intermediate students who have prior bag making experience. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
