bag series: ruffle zipper pouch
Learn how to make this super cute ruffle zipper pouch, created by our very own talented sewing instructor, Erin!
During class, students will learn how to insert a zipper and create a beautiful ruffle edge to your pouch. Once you learn how to make one, you'll be inspired to make more for your friends and family! This pouch is perfect for storing smaller items such as your phone and keys when traveling or your favorite sewing tools and notions.
This class is suitable for beginner students who have completed our Sewing 101 class or have an equivalent experience level. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
Required Materials:
- main fabric: 1/3 yd of quilting cotton
- lining fabric: 1/4 yd of quilting cotton
- 5/8 yd of Pellon SF101 fusible interfacing
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
- (1) 9" zipper
Required Tools:
- rotary cutter or fabric scissors
- acrylic ruler
- seam ripper
- pins or clips
- chalk or frixion marker

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
