garment series: the charlie caftan
The warm weather IS comin' our way, which means it's time to start getting your summer wardrobe ready! Join our garment sewing guru, Erin, to make the Charlie Caftan by Closet Core Pattern. Nothing says summer elegance quite like this stunning caftan, and we're sure it will prove to be a wardrobe staple this summer.
The Charlie Caftan features a deep V-neckline, short dolman sleeves, an inset center panel and roomy pockets. The pattern accommodates sizes 0-20 (printed and PDF) and 14-32 (PDF only). During this 2-weekend class we'll be making View C, which is the full length version with a gathered bodice and an optional waist tie. Students may choose from a dramatic, wide sleeve option or a slightly higher cut for more coverage. Dress it up with your favorite jewelry accessories or keep it casual and wear it as a cute beach cover up!
This class is suitable for advanced beginner and intermediate students. Anyone who has taken our Garment 101 or has some basic garment sewing experience is encouraged to register! Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
