quilting series: stately star log cabin quilt

Sharpen your quilting skills with our own Valeria Guimaraes!  Valeria is an award winner quilter and certified longarm professional and will be sharing her vast knowledge with you in this brand new class.  This class is suitable for anyone with prior quilting experience who is looking to improve their cutting and piecing skills.  If you sometimes struggle to achieve the desired results in your patchwork, this class is for you!

In this course, you'll make the Stately Star Cabin quilt by Scott A. Flanagan.
It's all about the block arrangement with this quilt - many looks can be achieved depending on how the blocks are laid out. The finished measurements of the quilt are 88" x 88".  While making the Stately Star, you'll learn precise techniques for rotary cutting, using a scant 1/4" seam, properly matching seams, the correct way to add borders, how to get a nice square finished quilt top, and so much more.

This class is appropriate for advanced beginner to intermediate students.  Ideally, students should have completed several quilts before registering.

Important Notes:
- Please do not cut your fabric ahead of time. Students will cut their fabric during the first class under the guidance of the instructor.
- There will be a 2-week break in between classes 2 + 3, as well as in between classes 3 + 4. During this time, students will have homework to complete.
