quilting series: door banner of the month - may
Have the best dressed door in your neighborhood!
Join us for our next quilting series - "Door Banner of the Month" featuring your favorite Riley Blake designers. Throughout the year, we'll be offering classes for our favorite patterns from this program. The complete program includes 12 monthly door banners. Students may sign up for the monthly subscription or choose to purchase them individually in our shop.
Our first class is the May banner, with the class being offered in March so you have plenty of time to get it ready to display in your home for the spring. A kit will be available that contains the pattern, fabric, and binding for a 20"x36" door banner or wall hanging.
During the first class, students will cut their fabric pieces to size, leaving the second and third classes for piecing. Students will quilt and bind on their own at home, or feel free to register for one of our Quilting Lab classes to finish it! This is a good smaller project to tackle for beginner quilters looking to improve their quilting skills with smaller scale projects. Students should be familiar with working with a rotary cutter.
Required Materials:
- (1) Door Banner Kit: "May in Bloom" by Riley Blake Designs. This kit includes all of the fabric you will need for class. Kits are available for purchase directly in our shop!
Required Tools:
- acrylic ruler + rotary cutter or fabric scissors
- seam ripper
- seam gauge
- chalk or frixion pen
- pins or clips
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance. By registering for this class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
