jeans intensive: sew your own jeans weekend

Make your own jeans???   YES, you CAN!!!

During this 3-day weekend intensive, students will make the Dawn Jeans by Megan Nielsen. The Dawn Jean is a vintage-inspired garment that features a classic high-waisted rigid jean design (using non-stretch denim). Students will have the option to make either a tapered leg, wide leg, or straight leg jean.  The Dawn Jeans pattern is available in sizes 0-20.  The Dawn Curve pattern is also available (as a PDF only) in sizes 14 to 30.  View A is a tapered leg jean, View B is a straight leg jean, View C is a wide leg jean and View D is a jean short.

Weekend Breakdown:
The weekend begins with a fun fitting and cutting party on Friday, March 22nd.  While getting to know each other and snacking on some goodies and wine, Erin will first help you take your measurements properly to determine what size to make.  Then you'lll get to work cutting your denim and do all the necessary marking to be ready to start sewing on Saturday morning.   Saturday and Sunday will be spent constructing the jeans from start to finish. You will leave on Sunday with a finished pair of jeans and a whole bunch of new-found knowledge and confidence!

What's included in the cost?
- 16 hours of sewing instruction
- complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the weekend
- a fun goody bag!
