quilting series: cathedral window pillow
Join us in the studio this December to learn how to make a Cathedral Window Block, a timeless quilting design.
Cathedral Window blocks are inspired by the beauty of stained-glass windows and are a fabulous way to highlight special fabrics or a collection you've been holding on to, just waiting for the right project! And with the holidays coming up, this is a beautiful gift to give your loved ones.
During class, students will learn how to make a cathedral window block pillow under the guidance of our talented quilting instructor, Mandy. This class is appropriate for intermediate level quilters. Please note, students will be required to complete homework in between classes in order to finish the pillow on time in class. Homework will be assigned by your instructor at the end of the first and second classes.
Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Cathedral Window Pillow (will be provided to you in class)
- background fabric: 1-3/4 yd of quilting cotton
- pillow back fabric: 3/4 yd of quilting cotton
- (24) 3-1/2" fabric squares - charm packs work well for this, but please note that they will need to be trimmed down from 5" to 3-1/2"
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
- 20"x20" pillow form
Required Tools:
- fabric scissors
- rotary cutter
- acrylic ruler
- pins
- purple thang tool (optional, but very helpful!)

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email and there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
