garment series: hinterland dress
The Hinterland Dress offers a timeless, comfortable and elegant silhouette, featuring three sleeve options, partial or full button-down plackets, customizable length and inseam pockets. The fit is loose, with side bust darts and a gathered skirt with optional waist ties. This dress is designed to last all seasons - you can easily wear it year-round, layered with a sweater and leggings, or alone with sandals in warmer weather. Students will learn how to sew bust darts, bias facings, inseam pockets, button plackets and inset sleeves. Choose to mix and match the design options to customize the dress to your style!
This class is suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate students; it's a great follow up for those who have graduated from our Garment 101 class. Students must be confident independently operating a sewing machine and should have some prior garment making experience.
We are offering a cutting session to help students prepare their fabric needed for class. Join us for the cutting session on Tuesday, January 9th from 6:30PM - 8:30PM. Register your seat here!
