knitting 201: glamping blanket
Who doesn’t love a handmade warm blanket for those chilly winter days? Since we love these blankets just as much as you do, we're teaching how to make it! Join us in the studio this winter to knit up this beautiful and super cozy Glamping Blanket by Casapinka. This blanket is a perfect, handmade gift for your loved ones this holiday season!
This class is suitable for our Knitting 201 students or students with an equivalent experience level. This five-week project features several different stitch patterns to keep it fun and interesting, including working with knits, purls, slip stitches, increases and decreases. Students must know how to confidently work these stitches in order to take this class. Since it is worked in chunky weight yarn, it moves rather quickly! Please note, students may have homework in between classes to ensure the blanket is finished by the conclusion of class.
The pattern offers different sizes for the blanket, ranging from baby blankets to sofa blankets. You can even knit up a smaller sized blanket for your cat or dog too! The finished measurements are as followed:
- 18"x22" - cat size
- 24"x36" - baby blanket/small pet size
- 35"x44" - lap blanket/large pet size
- 46"x58" - sofa blanket size

Recommended Yarn:
- Berrocco Chunky
- Malabrigo Mecha
Required Tools:
- US 10/6mm 24" circular needle
- US 10/6mm 32" circular needle
- tapestry needle
Gauge:
16 stitches + 24 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch worked flat after blocking

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
