bag series: mod fresh granny tote

Put your quilting and bag-making skills to the next level with this Mod Fresh Granny Tote! This stunning tote features a modern twist on the beloved granny square. In this series, students will reinforce their patchwork, quilting and bag-making techniques.  

This class is suitable for intermediate sewists. Students should have basic understanding of patchwork, quilting and simple bag-making.

There is built-in time between classes to complete additional classwork, which is required for students to finish this tote. 

Finished measurements of the bag are 15" tall, 13.3/4" wide, and 4" deep.

Required Materials:
- (1) Mod Fresh Granny Tote by Fancy That pattern, digital download available here
- flower petals: (18) 5" squares or 3/8 yds of coordinating fabrics (18 coordinating fabrics - a charm pack or fabric collection would work well for this bag!)
- flower centers: (18) 2.5" squares or 1/4 yd (1 fabric)
- 1 yd of background fabric
- 1 yd of lining fabric (includes binding - if you wish to have the lining and binding be different from each other, use 1 yd for lining and 1/8 yd for binding)
- 1 1/2 yds of 1" leather straps (or webbing)
- fusible fleece: (1) piece cut to 38"x20" or 5/8 yd
- fusible interfacing: pellon sf101 - (1) piece to cut 38"x20" or 5/8 yd
- (8) medium sized rivets

Required Tools: 
- rotary cutter
- acrylic ruler
- hera marker
- fork pins or regular pins
