fun freebie: fringed tea towels
PLEASE NOTE: This is an adult class only! Students 18+ are eligible to take this class!
It's a fun and FREE class! Come fill your evening with some sewing fun in our studio. Please note that while the class itself is free, students will be required to purchase the pattern and materials for the class in our shop (see below for required materials).
This class will be set up demo-style: first, we’ll demonstrate how to hem and fringe the towel, then you will pick out your fabric in the shop and get to make your very own towels! Students may want to wait until after demonstration at beginning of class to purchase their fabric.
This class is suitable for beginner level students; however, you must already know how to operate a sewing machine. This is NOT a learn-to-sew class for brand new beginners. If you have no sewing machine experience, please take our Sewing 101 class before registering for this class.
- (1) Project Kit: Fringed Tea Towel - this kit includes the pattern, fabric, and spool of thread
Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a project kit, you will need:
- (1) Pattern: Fringed Tea Towels by Studio M Squared
- main fabric: 5/8 yd (you will have enough left over for a second towel if desired)
- accent fabric: 1/4 yd or (1) fat quarter
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
Recommended Fabrics:
- Main fabric – quilting cotton, linen, or linen blends
- Accent fabric – linen or linen blends that easily fray
Required Tools:
- fabric scissors or rotary cutter
- pins or clips

While the class is free, if you are unable to attend, please let us know in advance so that we can give your spot to another student We always have a waitlist for free classes!
