The added foam stabilizer gives the Briar Bowtie Bag lots of structure, making it possible to carry as a clutch. Perfect as an evening bag, cosmetic bag, or all-purpose pouch – this clutch makes a great gift!
This class is suitable for beginner sewists who have taken our 101 Beginner sewing course or similar experience. You must be confident in using a sewing machine independently.
Material list:
(1) Briar bag pattern by Studio M Square, will be available to purchase in the shop5/8 yd of quilting cotton for main fabric, we have a wide selection in store.
5/8 yd of quilting cotton for accent/ lining fabric
3/8 yd of medium weight fusible interfacing SF 101, available here
Foam Stabilizer: 12” x 26” piece OR, if purchasing yardage: 1/3 yard of 58” wide foam (will make 2 bags), available here
(1) 10" zipper (available here)
(1) spool of coordinating thread

- Rotary Cutter and Acrylic Ruler OR Fabric scissors
- Pins and/or wonder clips

If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise a credit for a future class will be issued.
