teen crochet series: crochet 101 and beyond, age 12+

While knitting involves 2 needles, crochet is done with a hook held in one hand and the technique can be picked up quite quickly. During this six-week program, students will learn the foundation stitches of chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.

We will start on a basic washcloth to build confidence, once students have mastered the basic stitches, they will move onto make a granny square purse. 

Homework between classes is advised and full completion of projects within the class timeframe will depend on the amount of homework that students choose to do between classes.

As students' progress through the program, they will continue to build on the basic stitches while advancing their skills with new projects. 
 
Students will need to purchase a crochet yarn + tool kit, available to purchase in our shop

Kids’ class cancellation policy:  If your child is unable to attend the class/course/camp:

• You may receive a refund ONLY if we are notified in writing (via email – info@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, AND there is a waitlist for the class AND we are able to fill your child’s spot.   Absolutely no refunds will be provided unless these conditions are met.
• If we are notified in writing (via email – info@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, and we are unable to fill your spot, you will receive a store credit for the full registration amount.  This credit will expire 9 months from the date of issuance and is only good for class registrations, not retail product.
• If we are notified less than one week prior to the start date of the course/class, absolutely no refund or credit will be issued.
