bag series: birdie sling
Join us in April to make this modern sling bag! Grab your favorite print and sew up this extra roomy carry-all bag!
This class is suitable for beginners, you must have completed our sewing 101 or have a similar level of sewing experience.
Required Materials:
- (1) Birdie sling pattern by Amy Butler. Pattern can be purchased and downloaded here.
- 1 1/8 yd quilting cotton for bands and handles
- 1 1/8 yd quilting cotton for exterior main panels
- 1 1/8 yd of a 3rd coordinating print for the lining
We have a wide range of quilting cottons in the shop and on-line, our staff are more than happy to assist in your fabric selection.
- 3 1/2 yd of 20" wide fusible woven interfacing, we recommend Pellow SF-101, available here
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
Required Tools:
- Fabric scissors, available here
- Pins, available here
- chalk or friction pen
- Ruler/ Tape measure
- Hand sewing needle
All students should ensure they come to class with their fabrics purchased.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds or credits will be provided if you notify us less than 72 hrs in advance. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy
