crochet 201: granny square market bag

Granny squares are back! Come join us for our next class in our crochet 201 series and make this 'must have' market bag 

This class is the perfect next step for students who have taken our crochet 101 or can already crochet.

During the first three weeks of class we will take you through step by step on how to make the granny squares. We will then break before the last class when you will have time to finish your granny squares at home. For our final class we will take you through how to piece your granny squares together to create the bag as well as making the crochet handle. 

The bag is a perfect everyday bag size and measures approx. H 19" and W 11". Bag length can be customized by altering the length of the handle to suit your size needs. 

Required materials

-Yarn, we recommend using Cascade Nifty cotton (available here). Bag is made using 4 different colors, you will need one skein of each color.

-Size G crochet hook, available here 


- Pattern, we will be following Sweet Summer Sunflower bag pattern by Crochet 365, Knit Too. This is a free pattern, available here.

If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
