bag camp: summer camp for adults and teens
Join us for a fun filled week this summer making these three fabulous studio m2 bags:

This camp is perfect for a beginner sewists who have completed sewing 101.
We will start with the basic market tote bag. This stylish fully lined boxed bottom bag is super handy for a shopping trip and the perfect first bag project. You will then move on to learn how to insert a zipper by making a flat zipper pouch and towards the end of the week make the Crossway convertible bag.
Crossway is a clever, modern bag that does it all. You can carry it with both straps slung over your shoulder or as a backpack. Or just grab the small handle and go! We designed Crossway as a knitting project bag but it’s great for so many uses, available in two sizes: the small bag is perfect for running errands or shopping, while the bigger bag is great for work or for heading to the beach or pool.
Both sizes of the bag have a magnetic snap closure. Small bag has three divided pockets. Large bag has five divided pockets and a single pocket large enough for magazines or pattern instructions.
Required Materials for Market Tote- Tote-ally Easy pattern from Studio M Square
- Studio M Squared Market tote bag kits are available in four colorways, these kits have been especially curated for this class. They include the all the required fabric, interfacing and webbing for the handle... just add a spool of coordinating thread.
- 1/3 yard of exterior fabric
- 1/4 yard of accent fabric
- 1/2 yard lining fabric
- 1-3/4 yards fusible interfacing (we recommend Pellon SF101)
- 1-1/2 yards of 1-1/2" wide webbing
- 1 spool of coordinating thread
Required materials for flat zipper pouch
- Pattern: Done in a zip by Studio M Squared
- Main fabric: 1/4 yd
- Accent fabric: 1/4 yd
- Lining fabric: 1/4 yd
- Fusible interfacing (we recommend Pellon 911F or SF101) - 1/2yd
- (1) 7" zipper
- (1) stool of coordinating thread
- Pattern: Crossway Bag by Studio M Squared
- Main fabric: Quilting cotton or canvas (Sml, 1/3 yd, Lrg, 3/8 yd)
- Accent fabric: Quilting cotton or canvas (Sml, 1/4yd, Lrg 1/4 yd)
- Lining fabric: Quilting cotton (Sml, 1/2 yd, Lrg 5/8yd)
- Pocket fabric: Quilting cotton (Sml, 1 fat quarter or 3/8 yd OR use remaining lining fabric, Lrg, 1/2 yd)
- Crossway bag accessory kit, (kit contains Soft and Stable Foam, Pellon SF 101 Interfacing, leather handle 3/4" magnetic antique brass snap) Kit available in size sml and lrg.
- Straps: 2 yards of cotton webbing (sml 1" wide, Lrg 1-1/2" wide)
- (1) spool of thread

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hrs in advance in writing by email and there is a waitlist for the class and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise a credit for a future class will be issued.
