garment series: the charlie caftan
It's time to start getting your summer wardrobe ready.... warm weather IS coming, we promise!
Come sew with us and make the gorgeous Charlie Caftan from Closet Case Patterns. This beautiful and versatile garment will prove to be a wardrobe staple this summer!
Choose View A, B, or C to customize this dress to your liking.... View A is modern and architectural with striking pleats beneath the bust. For a softer, more romantic dress, Views B & C (pictured) feature a gently gathered bodice with an optional waist tie for a figure skimming silhouette in two skirt lengths. You may also choose between a dramatically wide kimono sleeve or one slightly higher cut for more coverage. All versions feature a deep V neckline, kimono sleeves, and roomy POCKETS... who doesn't love a dress with pockets!
The Saturday option is a 10-3pm class, we'll take a quick 30-minute lunch break to recharge.
Students should arrive to the first class on-time, ready to sew with all materials purchased. Pattern is available in our shop, along with a selection of appropriate fabrics. We highly recommend laundering your fabric prior to class.

- Fabric yardage depending on size and style being made. We have a wide selection of fabrics to choose from in our shop and our staff are more than happy to help with yardage requirement and fabric selection.
- Pellon 906F Lightweight fusible interfacing (available here)
- Spool of coordinating thread, we have a large selection available to purchase in the shop

If you are unable to attend the class, you may receive a refund or credit for a future class ONLY if we are notified in writing via email at least 72 hours prior to the first class AND we are able to fill your spot. No other refunds or credits will be given for missed classes. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
