garment series: acacia underwear
Grab some friends and come and join us for a fun Friday night, to make yourself some new panties!!
The acacia underwear pattern is a low-rise bikini cut underwear featuring a gusset with fully enclosed seams, comfortable fit with ample coverage. Buy new fabric or use this as a great scrap buster project. Available in two pattern sizes 0-20 and curve sizes 14-30 this pattern is suitable for everybody.
Students must arrive to class on time, with all materials purchased. As with all garment classes we strongly recommend you wash and dry your fabric in advance of the class.
Required Materials:
- The Acacia Underwear pattern by Megan Nielsen available online here. (Note if you subscribe to her newsletter the pattern is free!!)
- Knit fabric with at least 20% stretch (yardage depends on size and quantity of underwear you are making - refer to the pattern). We will have curated knit bundles available in store and our staff are happy to help with fabric selection and/or guidance on yardage requirement.
- Lingerie elastic, (available here) (yardage depends on size and quantity of underwear you are making - refer to the pattern)
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
Required Tools:
- Tape Measure
- Rotary Cutter, cutting mat and acrylic ruler OR fabric scissors
- Pins and/or wonder clips (pins are recommended for garment projects)
- seam ripper
- chalk or frixion pen
- seam gauge
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the class, you may receive a refund or credit for a future class ONLY if we are notified in writing via email at least 72 hours prior to the first class AND we are able to fill your spot. No other refunds or credits will be given for missed classes. By registering for the class, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
