Learn the timeless skill of knitting in this six-week class. Students are taken through the very basics of knitting and will make a variety of fun projects.
Skills taught include how to cast on, knit and purl. During class we will review any knitting issues and learn how to fix them while continuing to work on the projects.
As students continue through the program, we will work through more advanced projects to re-enforce the basic skills and will learn how to do rib stitch and begin to knit accessories.
This class is also suitable for students who have previously completed knitting 101 afterschool or camp. Students will be able to move onto level 2, continuing to work on the basic skills and learn how to knit in the round by making a simple hat followed by mittens and socks.
