bag series: simple zipper pouches

Zipper pouches are a quick, easy and fun project - once you make one, you'll make dozens more! During class, we will make two zipper pouches: we'll start with a simple flat rectangular pouch, then move on to a slightly more advanced design and make a box bottom pouch.  You'll leave the class with 2 cute pouches and the skills to make more in any size you desire!  

This class is suitable for beginner sewists who have taken our 101 Beginner sewing course or similar experience.

Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: "Done in a Zip" Booklet or PDF Pattern by Studio M Squared
- main fabric: 1/4 yd of cotton or quilting cotton (print)
- accent fabric: 1/4 yd of cotton or quilting cotton (solid)
- lining fabric: 1/4 yd of cotton or quilting cotton (print or solid)
- fusible interfacing: 1 yd of medium weight interfacing, such as Pellon SF101
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
- (1) 7" zipper
- (1) 9" zipper

Required Tools: 
- rotary cutter + acrylic ruler or fabric scissors
- pins and/or wonder clips
- seam ripper
- seam gauge
- chalk or frixion pen
- tape measure

If you are unable to attend, a refund will only be provided if you notify us 72 hours in advance in writing by email, there is a waitlist for the class, AND we are able to fill your spot.  Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
