beginner series: make a tote bag

Once you have completed your Sewing 101 you might be looking for your next project...We have the answer for you!

Come and join us to make the "tote-ally easy" tote bag from our very own studio m2 patterns. In this 2-part class we will be making the Market Tote (the pattern offers the choice of two tote types). The market tote is fully lined and has boxed bottoms. The fusible interfacing gives the bag some structure and sturdiness, whilst still being lightweight enough to fold up and store!

This class offers the next step in sewing, reinforcing what was learned in Sewing 101 and teaching some new techniques to expand your abilities, whilst making something both practical and beautiful.

Required Materials:
- Tote-ally easy tote bag pattern from Studio m2 (available here)

- 1/3 yard of exterior fabric
- 1/4 yard of accent fabric

- 2 yards fusible interfacing (we recommend Pellon SF101)

- 1 spool of coordinating thread

Required Tools:
- Fabric scissors
