quilting series: make a mug rug with foundation piecing

Come and join us on this one day workshop to learn the art of foundation piecing. Use your scraps, or buy new to make this fabulous mug rug!

Students will learn how to foundation piece, how to quilt using Insul-Bright and bind their finished piece.

This class is suitable for an advanced beginner. Students must be able to use a rotary cutter.
Material requirements: 

- 1/4 yard non-directional, preferably solid main fabric (for foundation blocks) 
-  6” long pre-cut strips in widths of 1”, 1-1/4” & 1-1/2” (in coordinating colors) 
- 1/3 yard coordinating quilting cotton (for backing & binding) 
- (1) piece of Insul-Bright batting (13-1/2” x 13-1/2” square) 

Enrolled students will receive a 15% discount on materials purchased in our shop. Kits will be available for the class from mid-April.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Advanced beginner able to use a rotary cutter
